PARACELSO
Analysing the effects of climate change with satellite data
Objective
To create a modular and interoperable system, developed in an open-source environment and integrated with spatial data analysis techniques developed in the cloud, to support the updating of the AdBPo knowledge framework regarding the evolution of fluvial, landslide and rock glacier processes , being complementary with other services being implemented
Scope | Support for the prevention and management of environmental risk |
Data | The satellite images that will be used within the project activities derive from two main constellations: COSMO-Skymed and Sentinel |
Methodology | Supervised machine learning classification, Convolution neural network (CNN) model e classificatore Fuzzy |
Proponent | Po River District Basin Authority – IT and Technology Sector |
Collaborations | Italian Space Agency, National Research Council – Institute of Environmental Geology and Geoengineering (CNR-IGAG), University of Padua – Department of Geosciences (UNIPD), University of Bologna – Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences (UNIBO-BiGeA), University of Modena and Reggio Emilia – Department of Chemical and Geological Sciences (UNIMORE-DSCG) |
