A call dedicated to the Public Administrations of the regional territory is now open, asking to present projects that would use MarghERita to elaborate a big quantity of data for the benefit of the territories.

The participation call is now online and available until the 31 of December 2024.
Every Public Administration of Emilia-Romagna can participate:

  • Municipalities
  • Provinces
  • Healthcare agencies
  • Metropolitan Areas
  • Municipality Unions
  • Universities
  • Chamber of commerce
  • Statal agencies
  • Non-economic public entities

Groups of public regional or non-regional entities can also participate if lead by a public authority from the Emilia-Romagna Region.

The submitted projects must concern as a matter of priority, but not exclusively, the topics individuated by Emilia-Romagna Region:

  • Support for the prevention and management of environmental risks,
  • Support and control of the spread of illnesses (epidemiologic surveillance),
  • Support and control of traffic flows and prediction and prevention of car accidents,
  • Support for planning the actions for the reduction of pollution.

Submissions can apply to:

  • Projects already implemented on a smaller scale that can be expanded
  • Projects already defined and still to be implemented
  • Project ideas not-yet developed

Every two months, a committee of experts will validate the submissions regarding the 4 main not exclusive topics – management of environmental risk, epidemiologic surveillance, prevention of car accidents, reduction of pollution.

The assessment of the projects takes different elements into consideration: goals, methodology, sources of consulted data, collaborations, predicted impact, predicted actions, timetable, necessary resources regarding both MarghERita and algorithms and amount of professional figures to turn to.

Every project deemed suitable will be activated until the saturation of the supercomputer capacity.
